Children with Cancer SmileYOU Festival

The traditional GülümseSEN Summer Festival, organized annually by the Cancer-Free Life Association (KAYD) for children with cancer and their families, was held for the 15th time at KüçükÇiftlik Park on June 8, with the participation of 400 people.

Volunteers and supporters came together to create unforgettable moments for children fighting cancer and their families. At the event, children and their families enjoyed a day filled with art, drama, jewelry and ceramic workshops, magic shows, yoga, zumba, face painting, breathing exercises, songs, and surprise gifts. Each child was accompanied by a volunteer, while mothers also enjoyed a special day through activities prepared specifically for them.

Morale and Smiles Came Together at the GülümseSEN Festival

Dida Kaymaz, Chairwoman of the Board of the Cancer-Free Life Association, shared her happiness about organizing the 15th GülümseSEN Festival. She stated that for many years, the festivals have aimed to increase children’s morale and motivation and help them feel better both emotionally and physically through quality activities surrounded by nature.

Throughout the day, various refreshments were offered with the support of corporate sponsors and individual supporters. Birthday cakes were prepared for children who could not celebrate their birthdays because of their illnesses. Children took photos with celebrities who participated in the event as volunteers and moved from one activity to another, enjoying a special day they had been eagerly looking forward to.

Dida Kaymaz thanked all sponsors who supported the organization and everyone who stood by families fighting cancer, expressing her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the smiles of children and their families.

Happ Health and Medical Park Göztepe Hospital Stood by the Children

Medical Park Göztepe Hospital Complex and Happ Health also took part as sponsors of the 15th GülümseSEN Festival organized by the Cancer-Free Life Association.

During the event, children fighting cancer were accompanied by clowns, while dance, painting, face-painting, and various other activities were organized.

Serdal Serin, General Manager of Medical Park Göztepe Hospital Complex, expressed his happiness about being together with the children and their families. He stated that they were there alongside the Cancer-Free Life Association with the Happ Health brand to bring happiness to the children.

Serin also noted that seeing the children enjoy even a short but beautiful moment was a great source of happiness for them.
